Meet The Keeper: Mr. S
I am Mr. S
Hello, I am the creator of the Card Tavern. I built this website with a simple mission: Make it easy for people to find a TCG shop that will become your favorite hangout spot to play, buy/sell, and connect with others.
A Little Bit About Myself
Came from a small town (Dillon, SC), I played Yugioh while I was in high schools with my friends and then MTG after I joined the military. Being in a small town, our play group was limited and the nearest TCG shop was about over 40 minutes away. Regardless, my friends and myself managed to go almost every weekend, until all of the shops shut down.
Fast forward to 2020, my family moved here to Orlando and I eventually started to find multiple TCG shops, mainly Campus and CoolStuffInc. But after awhile, hard times hit and I ended up selling most of my collection and end up stop buying and playing MTG all together (mainly play Arena now). I am planning on returning to coming back and start playing at the shops again, once everything get better and I am financially good enough to start buying comfortably.

The Tavern's Purpose
While I waiting for things to return back to normal, I still want to be involve with the TCG scene in some way. I realized that most people who looking for a place to play probably have maybe one or two places to go. And also people who are new to the community may have a hard time to find a local shop that play the certain card game they are interested in. So I decided to make this site to help others find their new play area. I know it's not perfect but if this help even one person find a fun community, then I'm happy. And hopefully I will join you all in a Commander game one day, but until then, welcome to the Card Tarven and I hope you all enjoy the site!!
